Two New Smash Hitters to the Prince Racquet Line;
The Diablo XP and Air DB
Prince Sports unleashes two new racquets, the Diablo XP and the Air DB, for players of all skill levels. Prince, an industry leader in tennis technology whose dedication to innovation and racquet development never ceases, developed the new racquets each inspired by two of Prince’s most popular frames.
“We expanded the technology of our traditional DB and Diablo racquets, implementing some of their most effective features, creating two dynamic additions to the Prince line of racquets,” said Steve Davis, VP of Next Generation at Prince. “The Diablo XP is ideal for players with longer, faster strokes who are looking for maximum touch and feel, from a racquet that provides them with the extra punch they desire. The Air DB is for players with moderate to full strokes requiring an extremely comfortable feel, without compromising power and control. Both the XP and the DB were designed to deliver winning results.”
About
Diablo XP
The
Diablo XP brings to the tennis manufacturer’s already powerful arsenal of racquets, a perfect combination of weight, balance and flex, for the more aggressive player looking for the ultimate in power and control. The XP combines the best features of the Precision Graphite Michael Chang and the Precision Equipe racquets to provide a comfortable feel with added power and solid performance. Don’t be fooled though, this racquet is no angel. The XP equips players with the tools to deliver devilishly accurate shots every time.
Diablo
XP Construction
The
Diablo XP, appropriately named for the Xtra pop and
Power that the racquet exudes, builds on the technology
unveiled with the original Diablo racquet. The XP is
ideal for players looking for more power in a thin
beam, yet does not need the extreme power of the widebody.
Utilizing the Dynamic Braid Technology, carbon fibers
are braided into the racquet shaft providing a softer
flex giving players more feel and control. The XP features
Triple Threat technology, tried-and-true technology
used on Prince racquets. Triple Threat combines copper,
carbon, titanium, and tungsten, all strategically placed
on the racquet, providing a more stable design that
enlarges the sweet spot for better, more piercing shots.
The Diablo XP features two models: Oversized and Midplus
with headsizes 107 and 96 sq. inches respectively,
and both models have a 22mm LongBody box beam cross
section.
About
Air DB
An
international best seller, the Air DB has made its
official debut in the US. Following in the footsteps
of its predecessors, the Air DB is a lighter weight
version of Prince’s most popular DB racquets, the CTS Lightning DB and CTS Synergy DB 26. This new racquet is full of features including an Air Handle system, which provides superior shock absorbency and has a more flexible shaft to give the racquet a soft, familiar feel. The Air DB is part of the Turbo family of racquets and is a great all around performance frame.
Air
DB Construction
Constructed
using one of Prince’s more popular technologies, the Air DB utilizes Double Bridge technology that not only dampens both string and frame vibrations, but is also the racquet’s namesake. The DB employs the patented Air Handle technology that significantly reduces shock by 25%, equipping the racquet with a light weight, easy to swing frame delivering substantial power. Adding to the technological features of the DB, Triple Threat weighting ensures added stability, coupled with Dynamic Braided Technology for a more comfortable feel. The patented Sweet Spot Expansion System expands the sweet spot for better more consistent shots. The Air DB features both an Oversized, with 110 sq inch headsize, and Midplus models with 100 sq inch headsize.
